Album nr 2
What's happening in the Lava camp, you think? Well, it's time to give an update of our status, better late than never. Right now we are very much into recording our new album which we have talked about releasing in early 2010, meaning January then (hopefully, as usual). Drums are finished for sure, where Mick went into the studio and completed the whole thing within 2 days. Who said experience wasn't valueable, ey? As soon as this was done, Magnus and Ronnie started recording guitars as well as some vocals and that leads us up to date. In english; guitars are as well as finished as well, speaking 90% truth here. Vocal recordings have begun and is as always a neverending process of course, but progress is being made each day. The upcoming weekend Simon will enter the studio as well and lay down some bass.
The cover art of this release is practically already finished as well, even though there are still a lot of booklet design details to be made. Maybe a preview of this will be posted later on, maybe not. It's still nice to pretend it's christmas eve sometimes ey? Oh way, it IS quite soon isn't it?
We are very happy about recording new stuff anyway, since the band has evolved a lot the last year ever since Mick joined the band on drums and where we later on got our hands on Simon the Sorcerer for our low grumbling bass lines. We can't wait releasing this stuff. Hopefully there are more out there who share this feeling. Take care and stay tuned!

Back from Gothenburg
We've now landed after the gig at Henriksberg Ballroom in Gothenburg and are more than satisfied with the outcome. Nice sound engineer, fellow bands participating and a great response from the audience. Thanks to all being there, of course.
We've can now also announce another upcoming gig, this time in the area of Stockholm which means that the middle part of Sweden will get the chance to experience this band live. The gig is arranged by our management and will involve the bands Wastescape and Hero as well, so take this chance to get three band for the price of one on this eve on the 22 january, 2010.
When not being occupied with gig preperations Lava can now focus on recording the new material, and with that being said; clicktracks have already been made for most songs so recording of drums will soon to be our next step. Hopefully we'll have something ready by new years eve or something like that.

Gigs confirmed and Lava bass
Ok, here we got some more news. Two gigs have been confirmed lately. First on the 16th of October Lava Engine will perform at Nordisk Gårdsbandsfestival, Huskvarna. At least four songs including one new will be introduced here. Three weeks later on the 6th of November we will do our first gig ever in Gothenburg. It will take place at Henriksberg on Club House Records where we will support The Sacred Sailors. Join us there!
Last weekend we had our first real rehearsal with our new bassplayer Simon Dahlström. Things went out smooth and the result was some best-ever-versions of some of the songs. And this was just our first rehearsal together!!! We're lucky to have Simon on board.
